KCLBC have a successful weekend at UH Bumps 2016

This weekend saw KCLBC racing UH Bumps 2016. With 3 women’s and 2 men’s boats rowing over the weekend, bringing together current and old rowers, KCLBC had an eventful and successful weekend. The GKT men were bumped by a fast George’s boat and then maintained 3rd position – ready to go for the headship again next year! The KCL men started in 7th, were bumped down and then rebumped up. The KCL women started in 15th and bumped up over the weekend. The GKT novice women started in 12th on Saturday and after a successful weekend of racing ended in 10th – a crew to watch next year. GKT senior women retained their headship – first being chased by George’s and then by RUMs, leaving them unbeaten at UH races this year.

It was a great weekend enjoyed by all. A special congratulations to all the coxes who successful navigated the carnage to return home with all boats undamaged! Thank you to Simon Parsons for the fantastic photos. We are now looking forward our summer ball this weekend. The women’s squad will also be racing Met Regatta with the senior 8 racing both Saturday and Sunday and the novice 4 and 8 racing Sunday.
